In October, the export volume of Methyl ethyl ketone(MEK) from China was 18525.56 tons, the export value was 21.9107 million US dollars, the average export price of the month was 1182.73 US dollars / ton, the export volume decreased by 43.72% month-on-month, and the export volume increased by 683.47% year-on-year.

  From January to October, China MEK export volume totaled 225,633.99 tons, a year-on-year increase of 22.87%, and the export dependence was 53%. Different from the export market, domestic demand has always been lower than expected. While the operating rate has dropped sharply, the contradiction between supply and demand in the market has not been effectively alleviated, resulting in a sharp decline in market prices, which have been hovering near the breakeven point for a long time.

  From the above data sheet, the largest volume (6,322 MT) of MEK export to South Korea in Oct., accounting for about 46% of the total export volume of the month. And second place is Vietnam(3165MT), accounting for 23%. 

  Compared with the data of the previous month, the export volume of China MEK to India and the United States has decreased significantly, while the export volume to South Korea, the Philippines and other countries has increased significantly, mainly because the demand in Europe and the United States has decreased.
